It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Zobarich (née Sankovic) on March 19, 2026, at the age of 87.
Ann was born on June 25, 1938, in Zejane, Croatia. She married Mihael Zobarich on November 19, 1959 and shortly afterwards they immigrated to Winnipeg, where they built their life together. Ann was a loving, selfless and hardworking woman who always put her family first. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength and devotion to her family. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and the Slovenian community, where she shared many cherished memories with family and friends over the years.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mihael Zobarich and brothers Ivan, Joe, Frank, and Tony (?).
She is survived by her sons, Mike and Richard; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., with cremation to follow. In keeping with her wishes, a private family interment will take place at Green Acres Cemetery, 1 Green Acres Lane, on Saturday, March 28, 2028 at 1:00 p.m.
The family extends sincere thanks to Father Diosdado Parrenas for his kindness and spiritual care and to the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their care and compassion.
